Alumina ball, also known as modern water purification activated bauxite, is a porous, highly dispersed solid material and has the characteristics required by the catalyst. Therefore, it is usually used as a catalyst in the chemical industry. According to the physical properties of alumina, alumina can be divided into three types: sand, flour and intermediate. These three types of alumina have great differences in physical properties. Sandy alumina has smaller bulk density, larger specific surface area, slightly smaller repose angle, contains a small amount of a-Al2O3, has more and uniform coarse particles and high strength. Flour alumina has large bulk density, small specific surface area, more a-Al2O3, more fine particles and poor strength. The physical properties of intermediate alumina are between the two.
